Summer Art Camps in Chattanooga
Summer art camps in Chattanooga run for eleven weeks in 2027 at Creative Art Place, from May 24 to August 5. Choose mornings, afternoons or all day, Monday to Thursday, at our East Brainerd studio.
2027 camp weeks, by date
Every week has a morning camp and an afternoon camp. Here are the 2027 dates:
- May 24 to 27
- June 1 to 4 (Tuesday to Friday, after Memorial Day)
- June 7 to 10
- June 14 to 17
- June 21 to 24
- June 28 to July 1
- July 6 to 9 (Tuesday to Friday, after the July 5 holiday)
- July 12 to 15
- July 19 to 22
- July 26 to 29
- August 2 to 5
Mornings, afternoons or all day
Morning camp runs 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and afternoon camp runs 1:00 to 4:00 pm. All Day Camp runs 9:00 am to 4:00 pm: your artist packs a lunch and stays through the middle of the day, which makes it a full summer day camp for working parents.
On older flyers you may see camps called 1A or 2B. A means mornings, and B means afternoons. On this site, we simply list every camp by its dates.
Camp themes for 2027
We're planning the 2027 themes now. Past camp weeks have brought dragon paintings, spin art, tie-dye and a lot of paint on the lawn. One past camp was even called "Mom Would Never Let Me Do This At Home."
Whatever the theme, our summer art camps in Chattanooga stay small and every supply is provided. Campers build on the basics, then layer on new materials and techniques as the week goes on.

Registration and spaces
Registration for summer art camps opens once the 2027 themes are set. Book a free 10-minute call, tell us which weeks you're eyeing, and we'll let you know the moment it opens.
Our camps are small, and each registration reserves a space specifically for your child. That's why the cancellation policy below matters, so please give it a read before you choose your weeks.

A summer camper
Before and after care
Need a longer day? Beforecare starts at 7:30 am and aftercare runs until 5:30 pm, for the whole camp or a single day. Prices are below.
Camp hours and prices
Mornings, afternoons or all day
Camps run Monday to Thursday. When a holiday falls in camp week, camp runs Tuesday to Friday instead. We never run camp on weekends.

9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Pack a lunch and stay through the middle of the day.

Once in a while a camp needs something out of the ordinary, like an old pair of shoes. We'll always tell you ahead of time.
Before and after care
Beforecare runs 7:30 to 9:00 am. Aftercare runs 4:00 to 5:30 pm.

The fine print
Camp cancellation policy
Because our camps are small and often sell out, each registration reserves a space specifically for your child. For that reason, we are unable to offer full refunds once a spot has been held.
30+ Days Before Camp Start Date
Cancellations made 30 days or more before the camp start date will receive a refund minus a $25 administrative fee.
Within 30 Days of Camp
Cancellations made within 30 days of camp are not eligible for a refund. However, if we are able to fill the spot from our waitlist, we will issue a studio credit that can be used toward a future camp, class, or event.
Camp Cancellation by Creative Art Place
If Creative Art Place must cancel a camp session, families will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another camp.
