All ages, one to one
Private Art Lessons in Chattanooga
Private art lessons in Chattanooga at Creative Art Place are one hour a week, one to one, built around exactly what you want to learn. They're $180 a month, for anyone from age two to adult.

Always four lessons a month
Private lessons meet once a week, so you always get four lessons a month. Some months you get a bonus fifth lesson, depending on how the calendar falls.
Because tuition is monthly rather than per lesson, those bonus weeks are a little gift a few times a year.
You keep the same day, time and teacher each week, so every lesson picks up right where the last one left off.
Built around what you want to learn
With one artist and one teacher, the hour goes wherever you need it. Jennifer puts it this way: "since it's a private class, we catered exactly to what the client wants, whether it's the foundations of drawing, painting, crafting, all the way through adults."
- Drawing foundations for beginners
- Painting in watercolor, acrylic or pastel
- Crafting, clay and mixed media
- Grown-ups welcome, too
Many students come with one goal: a portfolio, a hobby they want to restart, or a child who needs more time than a group allows. Tell us the goal and we'll plan the lessons around it.

Who teaches private lessons
Alannah Nolan, our Explorer of Art & Adventure, brings a dancer's discipline and a traveler's curiosity to every lesson. Courtney Hughes, our Chief Facilitator of Fun, makes every student feel seen and heard.
Ella Hodges, our Champion of Happy Accidents, is 1000% devoted to oil paint and loves collage. Her motto: trust the process and trust the medium.

From age two to grown-up
Private art lessons in Chattanooga work for every age. A two-year-old might spend the hour squishing clay and mixing colors, while a grown-up might want the foundations of drawing they never got in school.
Whatever the age, the lesson is planned around that one artist, so nobody waits their turn or gets left behind.
